We are proud to announce the availability of the deskUNPDF 2 technology previews. These are pre-release
versions of deskUNPDF 2 Professional and deskUNPDF for Mac.
This preview includes the new OpenDocument (OpenOffice.org Write, Google Docs, KOffice, odt) and the Sony Reader BBeB (lrf) output formats as well as Microsoft Word rtf/doc and text. Under OS X deskUNPDF installs a new PDF workflow which passes the content to deskUNPDF, effectively creating a print driver for the supported output formats. The Windows version contains a trial version of deskPDF Professional which allows for similar functionality with added deskUNPDF save as formats available in deskPDF.

- In any case which the converted output appears incorrect, malformated, or otherwise please check the source PDF in Acrobat Reader then copy the text into Microsoft Word or Notepad. If this action results with the same or similar improper formatting as when converted with deskUNPDF, this indicates the PDF was encoded improperly. The final release versions of deskUNPDF 2 will have a feature which automatically fixes the encodings on these problem documents.
- Please use the “submit a bug/report an issue” button at the top of the menu bar to report any issues, upload PDF’s with issues, or communicate any suggested enhancements.
